Kenneth W. Goodman, PhD, FACMI, will discuss an important topic at the intersection of ethics, and electronic health records -- the ethics of “cutting and pasting” medical notes in the chart. An internationally respected bioethicist and an expert on the ethical issues of new health information technologies, Goodman directs the University of Miami Bioethics Programs, and sits on the ethics committee of the American Medical Informatics Association. His visit is co-sponsored by the IU Center for Bioethics and the Division of General Internal Medicine/Geriatrics, School of Medicine.
