Expert panel meeting: engaging the community in predictive health research, November 2, 2007.
Building biobanks and predictive health research projects requires a supportive public. On November 2nd, PredictER convened a panel of 35 experts and community advocates to begin to give shape to and address an agenda for public engagement. The panels explored ways to reach out to the community, build collaboration, and encourage research while protecting individual and public interests. In the days following the meeting, the PredictER team drafted this report summarizing the event and the recommendations of the expert panels:-
