Authorship in the Age of AI
Introduction:
On September 25th, 2025, Jane Hartsock, JD, MA, gave a presentation discussing how Large Language Models have fundamentally changed the way we write and the way we think about what it means to be an author. However, much of the AI landscape as it relates to writing remains in flux, and it’s unclear how issues like copyright, plagiarism, and authorship credit will be decided. In this talk, she will engage these topics and discuss potential strategies for publishing in this new era of artificial intelligence.
