Dr. Amber R. Comer Earns Fellow Status from the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Amber Comer, PhD, JD, FAAHPM

 Amber Comer, PhD, JD, FAAHPM, Faculty Investigator at the IUCB recently earned the designation Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (FAAHPM). This is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a member. The Academy is the professional organization for physicians specializing in hospice and palliative medicine, nurses, and other healthcare providers.

Dr. Comer is the director of ethics policy at the American Medical Association and an associate professor of Health Sciences and Medicine at Indiana University. She holds faculty appointments in the School of Health and Human Sciences, Department of Health Sciences and the School of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Comer is an affiliate faculty in the School of Medicine, Center for Bioethics, the RESPECT Center, and the Regenstrief Institute. She teaches disability law as an adjunct professor at IU McKinney.
