IUCB Program Manager, Seamus Donahue, MA, recently had his work on the intersection of bioethics and climate change published on Bioethics Today. In this blog, Seamus examines some of the common responses to papers calling for environmental sustainability in healthcare and health research. Many of these responses acknowledge the dangers of climate change, yet they still find ways to discredit the call for sustainability. Seamus offers support for sustainability in healthcare and health research, while posing an argument against some common attempts to discredit calls for sustainability.
