Welcome Emma!

Emma Svendsen will serve as the Spring 2026 Graduate Assistant at the IUCB. Emma is a student in the combined BA/MA Philosophy Program at IU Indianapolis, set to receive her BA in the Spring and her MA shortly after. 

Emma is interested in receiving her PhD in philosophy. Her goal is to use her PhD to become a university professor but also has an interest in concentrating on becoming a Biomedical Ethics director. Emma is an accomplished Honors College student receiving several scholarships and awards from Indiana University Indianapolis such as the Loretta-Lunsford Scholarship, the Laurence-Lampert Scholarship, and Women's Rotary of Indy Scholar. 

She is currently a teaching assistant for Dr. Christian Kraatz on the IUI campus for 100-200 level philosophy course and is also assisting Dr. Peter Schwartz for RCR  Translational Research.
