TREATS: Studying Patient Use of LLMs

In this TREATs talk, Dr. Schwartz will discuss ethical issues that arise when studying the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT or Gemini by patients.  Challenges arise involving minimal risk, consent, and even determining when a project counts as “human subjects research."
