Conflict of Interest: Medical Device Companies

Introduction:

On September 29, 2016, Andrew Brightman, PhD, gave a presentation on the conflicts of interest that can arise from partnering with medical device companies during research. Dr. Brightman delves into the importance of minimizing the risk of harm from bias which could reduce the objectivity and integrity of research. He goes on to determine the importance of encouraging positive partnerships in research where a conflict of interest could pose a problem.
